About Us
Hi, I’m Lindsay — the face (and often the messy hands) behind Forest and Field.
It all started with oatmeal. Yep, the same stuff you’d find in your breakfast bowl. When every store-bought face wash made my hormonal acne worse, I decided to try something simple and homemade. Oatmeal was soothing, and from that first batch of face wash, I was hooked on finding gentler, better ways to care for myself and my family.
These days, I keep experimenting — some days it works beautifully, other days it’s a spectacular flop. But that’s kind of the fun of it. My husband and I dream of homesteading (turns out it’s way harder than Pinterest makes it look), so we take baby steps: a little progress here, a big setback there, and always the hope of something better around the corner.
Right now, I sell the things I actually use and love — the everyday products that make my life feel a little more natural, a little more cared for. We’ve got a hoard of chickens that keep things lively, and one day we hope to add more animals and maybe even a greenhouse. My husband’s big dream? Growing bananas in the middle of Nebraska. (I mean, who wouldn’t want to brag about that?)
At the heart of it all, Forest and Field is about sharing the things that make life simpler, softer, and a little more joyful — one small batch at a time.
